Model G Power Hose Replacement?

Hi, Although I’ve spent way too much time browsing the many great posts on vintage vacs this is my first post so please be gentle if I break any rules. I have a tan Electrolux Model G that my husband & I bought in the early 90s from the original owner. It came with attachments, PN1 power nozzle & the braided cloth powered hose with the pig tail that plugs into the port located on the right side of the vac & the other end into the port on the stem of the power nozzle. The G still works great even after years of use but the hose leaks like crazy. We have a Dyson canister but I miss using my G. Is it possible to get a replacement power hose? So far I’ve only been able to find standard non-powered replacement ones.

Hello! welcome to vacuum land! I'll try to find a power hose. Those Electroluxes last a lifetime!

It's called a "Pigtail Electric Hose", which is how Electrolux describes it. I see the vinyl ones (which don't leak) on eBay along with the old cloth (nylon) braided hoses that most likely DO leak. Buy a vinyl hose and enjoy your Model G. Also, use HEPA cloth disposable bags to preserve the motor.

Not really much to add, except that's a nice machine. A vinyl replacement hose is definitely the way to go. Good luck finding what you need to keep enjoying it.
