I saw this earlier this year and thought it looked like an OK vacuum. Reminiscent of old school Dirt Devil. This thing impressed me even more than I was expecting. Filtration despite not HEPA isn't bad at all, no sneezing fits like I've had with other brands. The suction and airflow is incredible for a modern bypass, got deep down grit that the Shark (which are only built to last very short by design) missed THE DAY BEFORE. And I love the design, harkens back to the Featherlite Vision. This for sure is an in house blueprint. The Broom Vac is great too, especially for the bathroom and kitchen areas. Happy Holidays everyone.

Honestly genuinely shocked. 2010s Dirt Devils looked like the worst of the worst vacuums ever produced. Even stuff like the Endura/Powermax werent so well received. This is them going back to their roots with improvements made. And the design being so reminiscent of the old school gen 1 Vision line is the icing on the cake. It even removed the left over soapy feeling from the carpet washing a little while back.

Round of applause to Dirt Devil for designing a very nice machine. Proof that TTi may not suck so bad after all. That being said, the older bagged machines are better. |

The best Dirt Devils ever made are the ones TTI partnered with from H-P Products. Their centrals blow all their other vacuums out of the water. If I can own any Dirt Devil regardless if their older models are still being made or not, it'd be a central vac even if I just only used it free standing like a powerful canister vacuum. And I'll admit, I'm VERY interested in installing a DB (disposable bag) model for my future home. So TTI did get it right after all.

U realize that last vacuum always gets missed debris the prior vacuum left behind.
Sharks are made to last longer than dirt devil. Sharks outperform and outlast dirt devil. The dirt devil is a BOL cheap plastic vacuum with no filters. Sharks are a high end plasticvac with filtration and alot more money into R&D that dirt devil. I don't mean to rain on your nostalgic parade but making frivolous biased claims isn't right. |

We can agree to disagree. This is based on experience with about 4 or 5 Shark vacuums since 2014-2015. Every Shark I had would start strong and then about a year or two in would noticeably drop off in power, and that's with frequent cleaning of the filters. It has hepa filtration and I'll give it that, but they're deliberately designed for when it goes out to go and spend another $200+ on one. The Navigator I got in 2022 is nowhere near as strong 2 years later. Does it get dirt still? Of course, but the airflow reduced significantly. This Dirt Devil sucked up more than just whatever had been left behind and has 10x the airflow at the nozzle because of how hard it sucks down to a thick low pile carpet. A whole clump of sand and grit that filled the bottom of the container. This Dirt Devil has a filter above the cyclone where the clear housing is. The brush rolls on this vacuum is also removable for maintenance, where the Shark has several torx screws in place so people can never actually repair their vacuum. We had to throw out my grandmother's Shark Speed because the bristles evaporated. I would say, The Bissell Powergroom I had fits your description better, it was nowhere near as powerful. All it did was such up carpet fibers and little if not no real deep sand and grit, and that was NEW out of the box. There's a YouTuber who found his 03 Featherlite Vision picked up grit that the latest Dyson of the time with modern tech failed to get.

Sharks have no place in the vacuum world due to the build quality issues associated with them. |

I'd never own a Shark unless it's for collectability but there aren't very much models to find of my interest. They're so bad that for example (I just recently thought of this) I have a friend who owns a log cabin with a Shark vacuum and the very first thing I'd do if I acquired the place from them is to replace the Shark, it's one of the worst vacuums I've ever used. Even if I kept it around, it'd eventually get replaced anyways due to the fact they're not meant to last and be repaired.

Have a LA502 i bought refurbished on ebay a year and a half ago. I use it on oak wood floors, medium pile carpet, tile etc. I also have used it to pick up piles of loose cat litter. I empty it after every use. I make sure its never clogged. I keep the filters cleaned.
I can maintain a vacuum and make it last a long time. I know you can too. I don't doubt dirt devil stepped their game up. I'm saying hate shark all you want I put mine through the ringer an d it runs like it's brand new. The duo clean brush is a gamechanger on multi surface cleaning. I just don't think a new dirt devil for around $100 could perform on every surface and hold up as well. I don't doubt it could be close but wood floors, tile concrete, carpet etc and excel as tge shark i own does. I have an avalir 2 and it cleans better on carpet. It's pushing 150 cfm and it's hard to believe a thing could clean deeper. I have a proteam with a wessell werk and a patriot with a wessell werk. It cleans better on all surfaces without scratching the floors. Dirt devil may have upped it's quality but show me a multi surface vacuum they make that competes with the shark I own. |

This machine also reminds me of the blue Dirt Devil Vibe Quick Vac I used to own. That vacuum took me by surprise. When I upgraded it to a Eureka belt, it was picking up grit that I didn't even know was still on the carpet. I regretted getting rid of it. But if this Dirt Devil has similar if not the same power as the Vibe, I think I'd buy one.
