I have a 1984 Hoover Sensotronic S3128 (avocado green) which works well, but is no longer needed.

It's had one owner, is somewhat scuffed and has a couple of paint drips on it.

Would anyone here be interested in it? I am based in South London.

Peter

The serial number you found appears to date this machine to January 1983 (the 301).

Thank you Ben -- we bought it in July 1984, it must have been in the shop for a while.

If anyone local is following this, is this the kind of machine that anyone will be interested in? It's very well built and performs beautifully. It seems a shame to bin it.

Peter,

The sales receipt makes more sense as to when you bought it; it was probably a clearance item.

You are probably right, it may have been a clearance item.
It certainly seemed like good value at the time (and even more so now)

Get in touch with ibaisaic on YouTube. I think he might be looking for one.

Looked after.

I'd love the find a US version called the Electronic 1000. Fell in love with it when I first saw one.
