Nice!
I have that same Epic 6500.
And, I really like the color of the System 90. Hopefully, it will clean up nice. Seems like a good deal for both of them. I'm sure I would have brought them home too! And, just like you, I'm out of room too.

I just noticed a difference in the tool caddy, where the dusting brush goes. Is yours a 6500? The spot where my dusting brush goes is larger, to accommodate the adapter. Yours has a different style hose end, and doesn't need an adapter.

If the machine is always on, it may be mis-wired. I connected the wires up wrong on a Silverado Deluxe I was refurbishing a few years ago with hilarious results. When I turned the vacuum off, the power nozzle, if connected, would come on, and when I turned the vacuum on, the power nozzle would shut off. It turned out to be an easy fix, as I had just reversed two wires, but it would have made for a fun practical joke.

Antoine, it could be one of the bag door contacts that sends the power through to the electric hose may be faulty. This happened back in 2020 to my Electrolux Epic 6500SR. There is a fuse built into the wire that can fail. Try opening up the bag door, cut out the fuse on the wire leading up to the bag door contact, reassemble and see what happens. If it works, then call your dealer to order a new bag door contact kit and replace.

Good finds! I have those same ones too! The Olympia One was my great grandma's, the LE I saved from an artist who was going to destroy in an art project, and the Epic I just found randomly at Goodwill. and the Aerus I found on shopgoodwill.com.

I thought the Epic 6000 used the old steel wands and attachments and had smaller tool cutouts on the top. The Epic 6500 used plastic wands and necessitated larger tool cutouts on the top storage area. At least following the rules set by my Epic 6000. I guess theoretically the rear panel that pops off for filter changing could be interchanged between a 6000 and 6500.

I seem to recall seeing a Lux at a friend's cabin as a kid that wasn't an Epic body style but it had plastic wands like an Epic. It may have been a 5000. I could be wrong but for sure it was white and blue, maybe it was a 5500 all this time. But for certain they did had a Diamond Jubilee next to that other Lux in the closet when I've seen it.
