Apparently theres a rare Dirt Devil Lite thats tranlsucent blue and the video is up on YT. How many translucent models did DD make, or was this the only one?

That may have been one of the last USA made Featherlites before they were redesigned and made in China.

It's probably from the early 2000s since translucent designs on products like Hoover or Apple computers were popular then.

Translucent colors...

Yeah, I used to be an editor for a couple of trade publications that covered the office products industry, and I remember going to trade shows, circa 1999-2000, when the candy-colored iMacs were hot, and everybody and their brother were jumping on that bandwagon. I jokingly asked a rep from the Lexmark printer company when they were coming out with candy colored printers, and he said 'never'. They had already been advised by Apple that the trend was ending in a year or so. Sure enough, by 2001, Apple had moved to their stark white phase, and other manufacturers quickly followed suit, because the translucent colors were oh, so last year!
