Hello vacuum community. I own a single vacuum, A red and white shark professional. When I 1st got it the brush roll was completely covered with hair and string. The insides and outsides were really dirty, And some parts of it have started to become cream colored. I am restoring it to good as new condition. I will make new posts of the updates. Day one- I wiped it down with wet wipes, and removed all the hair from the brush roll. Gave it a quick test run on my rugs, worked well. I am planning to empty the bin, and wipe that down as well next. Enjoy!

I used to have a shark like that. It was a pretty nice vacuum, I’m sure yours will clean up great. Depending on how old it is I would replace the filters.

I had one that was given to me by my aunt, but I immediately gave it away because I had no interest in it so it's now at my mom's work. And my brother owns one that was also given to him but by their old next door neighbor and my sister-in-law hates using it, I have a video of that on YouTube. I remember those were one of two Sharks that had gotten the silver rating from The CRI (the white Navigator XL Professional being the other which is the only Shark I'd buy today if I had to). I'd buy new filters for it, don't wash or reuse them.

Update one

Update: I have taken off the filter and rinsed it with tap water. As of making this message, It is being left out to dry. I also emptied out the dustbin, And I did a test run, Works great. Also, The Shark's model is NV501.

How’s the suction from the hose? The bin looks dirty so I’m wondering how bad the pre motor filters have affected the suction.

Woah! I have this same model! I got it when Big Lots was clearing out their display models. It is a store display, never even used. It's got some discoloring on the top of the handle from being near the lights. I've been using it as a clothing rack, lol but it looks like a good model.

Cute cat :)
