This is a machine that I got a few years ago off of Craigslist. From what I've gathered about it online, I think it was a Khol's or Bed Bath and Beyond exclusive. It also apparently once came with a shoulder strap for the main unit, a bare floor tool, and an extra set of filters. Anyways, when I got it the machine sounded pretty bad. I opened up the main unit, the inside was caked with dust (why am I not suprised?). It's been about a year or so since I opened it up, and it's been sitting in a box because I can't figure out how to get it back together.

For one thing, I took out the carbon brushes, and bent the square copper bits on the ends of them, and I'm worried I completely ruined them. I also can't remember what wires connect where. There was also some other small copper bits that I can't remember if we're part of the motor or not (I'm thinking they might be parts from one of my HO scale boxcars).

In addition to these things, I'm not sure if the crevice tool I got with it is the original one. It fits on the end of the hose and wand fine, but it's a darker shade of grey then other Bissell crevice tools I've seen of this Era, and it fits really loosely into its holder on the machine. The turbo brush also doesn't spin very freely when it's assembled, but spins ok when it's disassembled.

Yeah... if you couldn't tell already, I'm not good with vacuum repairs of this nature...

So far, I think I need to do a few things before I can get it up and running:

1. Wash all of the plastic parts that are filthy.

2. Get it a new HEPA filter and filter door (mine's warped)

3. Clean out the power nozzle (whatever that may entail).

This isn't a project that's super high up ony my priorities list, but help is still needed and welcome.
