There's machines like the original Hoover Floormate, Steamvac Jr, SteamVac etc, that have rather similar sounding motors to vacuums from other brands, like the Oreck XLs from the early 2000s. I always thought even the Windtunnel uprights sounded like a muxh quieter and more muffled XL despite it bring clean air and not direct air. There are some similarities when you really listen. Same with the Hoover Quik Broom line. Were they made by Ametek or someone else?

A least from the ones that I've come across with, they're all made by Ametek.
