I just got this from my local thrift store. I was happy to find it because I haven’t seen a single vacuum there in about 3 years. All this little guy needed was a good cleaning and a brush roll lubrication. Works like a dream.
(I’m going back today to buy a rotary phone I saw)

Nice find!
I've seen the Dirt Devils several times, and even brought one home. But, I've never seen a Royal at a thrift store. Well, I should clarify. A Royal hand vac. I did find and buy a Royal upright once.
I'm a fan of older phones too. When you get the rotary phone, maybe you can post a picture (or a few) in "Household".
Enjoy!

I love those Royal handhelds. I've got three of them, two of which I picked up at thrift shops, and one on eBay. They certainly don't make 'em like that anymore.

I found the same model Royal hand vac at a Grace Bridge resale 4 years ago for about $6!

Lucky for you! I also happen to have a Royal 501, which was built in 1982 and so mine has the old-style metal fan in it.

Great score on the Royal!!
I found one at Goodwill exactly like it about 3 years ago. I gave it a good resto.
Love that blue color, my ladyfriend's favorite.

Vacsofprosper - I miss Grace Bridge. They did not have a lot of household stuff but I did get some cool things there like vintage stereo components.
The owners always gave me extra discounts or freebies - such nice people.
GBR closed down earlier this year - not enough business and they could not support themselves.
