the belts are type 48 or part number 49258. if you get those get vintage ones made before the year 2007. ones made after that are junk. also 44783 belt (AG commercial) is also available, and better quality, those can still be had new but are more expensive. use genuine hoover type c bags , but again old bags. typically ones with copyright date 1991 or older. new bags from china have junk filtration.
if there is no exposed inner wiring insulation from where the cord was taped, keep it, it'll be perfectly safe. |

Thanks. Does that mean the same belt can used for fastening the bag and the agitator drive? |

If the rubber belt to hold in the bag is damaged, you may be able to replace it with a Sanitaire garter spring, which basically has the same function.

One of my other Hoovers is type C and uses a flat large rubber band. Do you know where those may be available if the rubber ring isn't? thanks |
