I moved into a house that has this vintage Sears Kenmore Duo-power Magicord sitting here. It has all the parts, including the bags and looks to be in decent shape. I am curious to see if this still works. Except there is no start button. How do I turn this thing on?

The picture is a disassembled pic, model is 2491c.

See the long white pedal right under the hose, push down on it. It will activate the switch.

Much prefer these “low to the ground” power switch pedals on canisters - Eureka had them too. The power buttons placed on top of canister bodies force the user to stand on one leg to push the button with your foot.
