Click my avatar to see my cat Lily, checking out a Kirby Heritage, up close and personal. You might say she's 'into' vacuums.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but...

When I went to go pick up my Windtunnel Dual V, the original owner had a cat. I was ecstatic to see it, and pet it a lot. The owner said that she (I think it was a she, but I'm not entirely sure) normally wasn't friendly, so the fact that she was to me is pretty cool. Also, when I was cleaning the machine out later that night, the Windtunnel portion of it was plugged up with cat hair. That probably gives some insight into its backstory lol.

AWWWW!! Lol she kinda looks grumpy, its almost as she's telling you to go away..
its her Kirby now...

AmtrakSebo1997

I think that probably indicates that the Hoover was the kitty's property, so she can clean up after herself Lol.

probably lol. I wonder how well those 4 brushes would've done at sweeping up cat hair, considering they were medium stiff when I got it (the cat was also grey-ish black if I remember correctly, by the way :]).

You know.. I've always been quite curious about the performance from those Dual V vacuums, I remember being much younger and watching the commercial on youtube and being wowed by all the features they listed LOL

Same. I love them to death, even if they were a commercial failure for Hoover. Hopefully I can scrounge up the parts that it needs to be back up and running (which isn't a whole lot, at it's in decent condition from what I've seen. The only problems with it are a few cracked parts here and there, the dusting brush being nasty, having the Hoover lean, and it's headlight bulb being burnt out (why it's not the same type as previous generation WTs is beyond me), oh, and I also want to switch out the Twin Chamber cup for the Savvy bag set-up.

This is Louie.
Like his cat dad, he seems to have a thing for Orecks lately. He’s never cozied up to any other vacuums.

Louie has both an Oreck and a Kirby.

He does!
But, he really only cozies up to the Orecks. Before this one, I had a different Oreck there, and he was the same way with that one!
I should try an experiment, and rotate different brands to that spot, and see what he does. Maybe a Hoover Convertible next?
He's quite a character, that Louie! LOL

I was just watching this review that some automatic cat litter boxes were killing cats that were bought off Amazon.

Kenny,

Thank you for posting that. We just use a conventional litter box. But, if your link reaches one person who has one of those dangerous ones, it’s worth it!
I can’t even imagine the horror of that happening.

David, those 2 pics of your cat with the vacuum are sooooo cute! Looks like he wanted to give his cheek a good scratch with the brush.

But hey, I am seeing a new vacuum there too. When did you get the Henry? Are you liking it? Give us a mini review please :)

He for sure rubbed on it, not sure if marking or itch. Henry for 3 years? Love the sound, the power and the long lay flat cord! I trip on modern plastic like cords that loop from memory of the wrap or reel.

What would be Felix's favorite vacuum cleaner? does he just like rubbing up on all of them or are there certain ones he likes? Has he noticed you have a huge collection of vacuums? or in cat terms, "Huge noise machines that daddy bothers me with"?

Honestly he is just not bothered at all! Even if they're running, he used to lay his head on the Kirby and sleep

Thanks! He was a bottle baby, found feral, several months living with dogs. Different guy! My cat, but we have 3, he is my partners favorite hands down. He guards the door and windows.

Have you thought about what Felix's christmas gift will be? Have you gifted yourself anything lately? Any new additions to the collection?

He mostly gets spoiled by both of us! Maybe a new cat toy. We agreed to upgrade the TV this month and both kicked in on it!

Great pictures, David!
I wish we could have more than one cat at a time. We've shared our home with three, over the years. And, every one of them has been an "only child".
The first two definitely did not like other cats around. Louie, our current boy, we don't know for sure.
But, he can be very ornery when he wants to be. And, at 15 pounds, down from 18 when we first got him, he could definitely do some damage if he wanted to. He's never been fat. Even at 18 pounds, he was all muscle!
We adopted him three or so years ago, as a stray who was hanging around my in-laws' yard. He was trapped, with the intent of doing a neuter and return. But, we were asked if we would mind taking him in while he recuperated, and he never ended up going back. He's a strictly indoor kitty now. Well, except for the few times that he's scooted out. Fortunately, he didn't go too far, and I was able to scoop him up every time.
Sometimes, we wonder if he'd like another cat to play with. He has a ton of energy! But, we don't want to bring home a cat, give our hearts to him or her, and then have to get rid of them because Louie won't accept them.

You know, now that we're on the topic of Louie, could it be possible that he cuddles up to Orecks unintentionally? JustJunque, you mentioned that lately you've been quite fond of Orecks, maybe Louie realized this and is now cuddling in front of Orecks so that when you look for Orecks in your house you'll find him instead, He's jealous of the attention you give to the Orecks!!!

Thanks Barry, Felix is probably 18 lbs, Crowley 15? But Felix is a lot of cat and muscle, Crowley is a bit soft and plump. The female looks very much like Felix but half his size. They are both eight and Crowley is nine

Hmmm. You definitely put some thought into that! 🙂
I'm not sure that's the case, though. Louie's not really a big fan of too much human affection. LOL
When we first wake up in the morning, he likes his pets. He graciously accepts them, and about purrs his nose off. But, that's kind of the only time. The rest of the day, he likes to just be left to do his own thing. Then, he gets very vocal when it's getting near feeding time. Then, I'm his food source. After he eats, he's done with me again. *shrug*
He's not a lap cat. Even at night, he usually sleeps on the couch by himself.
If I can find it, I have one picture of him, shortly after he got comfortable in our house, and he's partially laying on my lap. He got over that pretty quickly though. 😆

Edit:
Okay...two pictures. One, partially laying on me, and one with his murder mitten on my leg.
