Here's a minor update on my lovely "Maureen" (my 1977 Kirby Classic III): I swapped the handle assembly off my '79 Classic III onto her to make her look even more like my mom's '78 Classic III.

Why do I call her "Maureen"? I chose the name because of Maureen O'Hara (1920-2015), an Irish-American actress and singer, also called "The Queen of Technicolor," who appeared on the big screen from 1939 to 1971 and 1991, and worked on five films with John Wayne from 1950 to 1971, including "Rio Grande," "Quiet Man," "The Wings of Eagles," "McLintock!" and "Big Jake."

Keen Kirby & nickname, Ben! I appreciate your attention to detail and the connection to your past. Kirby's Classic III is one of its most attractive for sure, and Maurenn O'Hara was a terrific actress in many 'classic' movies.

Keep Kirbying!
