How many of you use your Kirby's in canister mode when using the hose?
Does it reduce air flow or seem like an unneeded step unless you're doing stairs or something? I personally use it with the upright handle and hose most of the time but what is everyone's thought on it? I will say it feels weird bending the outer bag like that lol |

I too prefer using my Kirbys with the upright handle in hose mode. It just feels rather unnecessary and I think it did choke a bit of airflow one time for me with the canister handle on. Honestly, I find using a canister only vacuum like an Electrolux for example does a better job while using the hose. A Kirby Avalir Platinum with a Aerus Lux Classic canister in matching colors would make a better team than just using the Kirby by itself in my opinion.

Honestly, I don't even use my Kirbys with their hoses. It's a lot of trouble and interrupts my workflow. It's just easier to pull out one of my Electrolux canisters or an Oreck BB for those kinds of jobs. As much as I love my Kirbys, I increasingly find myself reaching for an Electrolux Discovery/Epic/Genesis upright instead. I was amazed by a Kirby demonstration when I was ten years old, but now that I own a few, the 'amazing' has largely worn off. They're fun to play with, but my Electroluxes, both canisters and uprights, are much more practical.
