I visted a vac shop this morning after having a dream last night where I cleaned out the back storage room of such a store. It made me remember that I met the owner of this store last year and it was about time I paid him a visit. He let me look thru his back storage building and I almost fell out when I saw some rare vintage machines. An American Lincoln, a BISON, a very old Regina, and a Hoover 26. He said I need to take them for 10 bucks each. I guess you could say my dream came to life. The Bison needs some work, the handle and cord hooks are busted as is the variable speed control. He had dozens of other machines, many Dysons, some old canisters, various Kirbys, and others. Pictures to come as I inspect each machine. He begged me to come back to get more.

The American Lincoln and Hoover run great, the Bison and Regina are both dead. It would be neat to get the Bison working, but I have no idea where to begin looking for parts.

Clayton,

That American Lincoln Super Sweep you just scored: it was the second version produced from 1972 to 1979, the first to have a 3-wire cord instead of the 2-wire cord that was used on most Kirby machines from 1956 to 1981.
