George, I can't be of any help to you. But damn, your Black & Decker is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! And I bet it's probably extremely rare too. I wish you the best of luck in finding all the parts, accessories & literature you need to complete it.

I did a little bit of digging and found that this machine looks to be from 1955. Very good possibility it was one of the first vacuums that they made. Also found this ad for it too!
