From sharp minds come Sharp products. It's really nice. I've never seen that one. Any hope on fluffing out the hose? |

That really is the bee's knees, Fred. I see a lot of well thought out engineering there for a plastic vacuum. Dang, that hose looks like it'll barely pass a toenail clipping! I'd try to revive it first using a heavy duty padded woodworking vise. I re-round wire coil crushed hoses this way. Works perfectly for cloth & vinyl weave hoses to get the shape back. For a stretchy flexible one like that (GE, Hoover) I compress the hose sections longitudinally on a broom pole so the coils stay aligned at 90 degrees to each other as you try to re-induce the cylinder shape. With patience even your flattened one may be savable/usable until eventually you find a substitute. A inline wand muffler!? One wonders if that is really necessary and how effective is it? I mean, we know how a car muffler works by diverting the exhaust through perforated staged chambers but I can't see asking dust chunks & debris to take the same torturous path. LOL Curious Dave |

The hose is pretty well dead... That, and I don't have the patience to try and re-shape it. I'll be trying to find a suitable replacement... |
