Would you happen to know where the Eureka 2000 series falls? I'm guessing my 2010-B must be somewhere around the 50 year mark. Although that's almost impossible for me to get my head around!

The Eureka 2000-Series succeeded the 200-Series in 1969 with the model numbers 2010, 2011, 2020, 2021, 2040, 2041, 2050, 2051, 2070, 2071, 2080 "Vanguard" & 2081 "Vanguard". The model #s ending in 1 had chrome hoods instead of their enameled-hooded counterparts, so there were only 6 designs.

The Model 2010 seems to have been succeeded by the Model 2060 in 1971, so your cleaner was made in either '70 or '71.

P.A. Geier Company

2025 also marks the 120th Anniversary of the founding of the P.A. Geier Company in Cleveland, OH by Phillip A. Geier in 1905, although he didn't start building vacuum cleaners until 5 years later. He first began as a job order machine shop and foundry, making mostly parts for punch presses, then eventually began making his own line of punch presses. Then in 1910, he built the first Royal Electric Vacuum Cleaner, which soon became so successful that he devoted the company solely to making vacuum cleaners and other appliances such as hair dryers and massagers and abandoned his previous endeavors. So this is also the 115th Anniversary of the Royal Electric Vacuum Cleaner.
The reason I specifically mentioned Electric Vacuum Cleaner is that some of you may be familiar with a hand pumper with the Royal name on it, and I have also heard of it and seen pictures of it. However, the Royal hand pumper and the company that made them have absolutely NO CONNECTION to the P.A. Geier Company or Royal Electric Vacuum Cleaners.

Thanks, Jeff. I hadn't thought of company origins.

That brings to mind the 1985 merger of Electrolux Corporation and Electrolux Canada, Ltd. (followed by the Pointe Claire factory closing in 1987, and the Brockville factory in 1990). Btw, the US company had been sharing R & D since the '50s, and EC had bought up AB Electrolux shares in Electrolux Canada in 1961.

Addition to List:

40th - Electrolux Canada Shampoo-Polisher model #2101 (the model #2101A "Regency Series" and "Special Edition" color versions came out sometime later). All were marketed in CA and the US.

Thanks, contributors.

Alex, I was unable to find any US or CA Electrolux patent for the Model CA or any parts (e.g. automatic control panel, 16" wide tools) from 1960 to 1965, but I thought you, Jimmy, or someone else mentioned before that it was launched in 1961 or 1962. Btw, I also checked White Mop Wringer Company patents but came up short. It seems Electrolux Corporation bought the patents from another party.

I did find a couple 1965 patent filings that were granted in 1967 for an electric hose and reinforced plug blades (60th anniversary):
