Thanks that’s interesting and seems like it would make sense. I picked up this NOS vintage aftermarket bag for now. Not original but at least it isn’t bright red! |

As much as I love Eureka vacs, those Automatic upright heads have to be the scariest design in the history of vacuums! They all looked like angry monsters ready to gobble up anything in their path. The wide flat mouth and the brand plate nose combined with the headlight was sure to frighten any toddler, just as I was scared of our Super Automatic 260. The headlight frame really accentuated the angry face, with its heavy metal “unibrow”. And when the thing growled to life and the headlight pierced the darkness, I went running to my bedroom and slammed the door!!! 😳
