Anyone ever try using convertible brush strips in a quadraflex pn?

Unfortunately Quadraflex brush strips got discontinued many years ago. I tried to get Convertible, Panasonic, VGII strips to fit the slot, something and no luck unfortunately.

I was thinking about VGII strips also. I havent gotten the vacuum yet but was trying to line up parts that might be needed. I've even went as far as researching wheels in case the two celebrity back wheels ever break. Have you ever taken a quadraflex pn motor apart. I know the bearing in it has a pressed on metal shield but was wondering if the other side had the removable rubber shield. I may have found new replacement motors that come with a special bracket to make them fit correctly.

I tried to take apart a Quadraflex motor and ruined it. I don't recommend doing that.

Supposedly some vac shops have had luck standing the motors on end and letting aome oil seep into the bearing.
