Can someone tell me how to reattach the hose adapter to the hose? I have inserted the new prong thingy into it and now I cannot reattach it. Thank you for any advice, Geraldine | ||

I wasn't trying to attach it that way, the photo was showing the parts I am discussing. it doesn't slide on is my problem. | ||

Sears hose I seem to recall that on most of this type Sears hose the "prong thingy" goes on the contact rings first and then the cover snaps into place.Hope this helps as I am not trying to be a "smart Alec" just as DustNoMore wasn't. | ||

I wasn’t trying to be a smart alec. Your second photo you added makes more sense to me as far as reconnecting it goes. The prongs need a power source to plug into. | ||
