Can someone tell me how to reattach the hose adapter to the hose? I have inserted the new prong thingy into it and now I cannot reattach it. Thank you for any advice,
Geraldine

Sears hose

I seem to recall that on most of this type Sears hose the "prong thingy" goes on the contact rings first and then the cover snaps into place.Hope this helps as I am not trying to be a "smart Alec" just as DustNoMore wasn't.

I wasn’t trying to be a smart alec. Your second photo you added makes more sense to me as far as reconnecting it goes. The prongs need a power source to plug into.

Thank you, I was wondering if the prongs should go on first, I'll try that and let you know if it works.

Sorry I called you a smart Aleck, I'm just a little frazzled.

No worries at all. :) It could possibly twist and lock in place once inserted. Sometimes the piece with the prongs could also have notches that would align with the coupler on the hose. You just have to work with it. For me, I prefer doing something like this over a couple of beers. Lol
