Chris,

The Dual Sanitronic 80 was produced from 1967 to 1970.

Very nice

I'm away from home this week or I'd look it up for you. Ben and others here have your answer, it's all in the serial number. The DS-80 is one of the most appreciated models out there. Yours looks to be in great shape.

I've heard that the newer knurled fan belt is a bit hard on the bearings and rough on the belt lifters of the older Kirby's so you might consider using the smooth sided older style belt. From Kirby Classics to present I use the knurled belt for sure.

Hope you enjoy this little beauty!

I am enjoying this, I have the attachments, but missing two tools, I have the shampoo system but the water tank is missing the measuring cap, and I may get the handi buttler

The aerial number doesn't give you the year it was made. If it starts with a g it's made in 1967. My model number matches the box 375926 was made in 8/69. It was sold in October of 1969.
The metal fan gives the vacuum about 20 more cfm of suction. Congrats on your ds 80 it's my favorite consumer model.

Chris,

You likely have a 1969 model; mine is a '69 as well (serial no. 468671).
