Does anyone have any tips on changing a Eureka made Power Nozzle belt?

The belts are so stiff and hard to stretch to install. I am concerned that maybe the Eureka belts I have or too old. Should they be that tight once installed? Would them being so tight wear down the brush roll bearings?

I may try heating the belt up, but then would they still be too tight when cooled?

Belts are the same as old kirby belts. The royal, kirby, eureka p.n., rainbow e series p.n.. Put a kirby belt on it.

make sure the brush roll is properly installed in housing to allow it to rotate back and forth to install belt on roller and motor its a pull stretchy thing really .

How i did it on my compact before it quit on me ...

put belt on roller then on motor shaft half way lower roller in mounting rotate back and fort voila it will slide on .
