Filter fine dirt better. You get better performance out of the motor and it keeps your pre motor filters and outer bag dirt free.

I can corroborate

I was never happy with one-ply factory bags, they always lost suction. More recently I tried micro-lined bags but the inner layer always tore, negating its benefits. These HEPA bags are the only ones I've ever been able to fill completely with no noticeable loss of suction. I highly recommend them.
