I tried searching for a post with no luck.

Can anyone give me any tips, advice, tool to use to stretch a new belt from the brushroll to the motor shaft?

You trying to take off a geared belt or a flat belt. If your doing a flat belt a flathead screw driver but if your having issues your probably doing it wrong.

Les,

It is a flat belt, I am trying to stretch a Eureka belt, from an old stash. I keep thinking it is too tight or too old to stretch. I am going to order a Tristar belt to see if that helps. As for your tip, I have no idea what you are describing by using a flat head screwdriver.
