A few posts back I mentioned the topic of customization (don't worry, it's only being done with amalgamated/damaged units), and I'm coming back to mention it again.

In theory, would the handle from a Kirby D50 fit onto the handle bracket of a D80? The look I'm after requires the simplified form of the D80 motor unit but the stick-type handle of the D50/preceding models.
