Can anyone tell me what this tool is? These came with an Olympia I just bought at an estate sale. The wall hangers I’ve never seen before.

I’m assume these wall hangers go with the Olympia. To hang the hose, PN and wands.

One of my collector friends just told me it was a tool for installing the cord straps. I didn’t even think of that.

Wow

Never seen most of those wall hangers before. I think the person may have worked for Electrolux at one time or another, the cloth bags are demonstration bags. The hook tool is used for models with external hose wires to close the straps. The wall hangers may have been normally supplied with the commercial CB model as they were not included with the Olympia.

Let me know if there is anything you want to sell I’d be interested in the cord strap fastening tool as my models use the external cord straps.

Thanks, the logo on the hangers is brown. That is why I’m thinking it was around the time of the Olympia. Maybe a rarer item not mentioned in the manual???

I’m not ready to sell, as I have a collection of AF thru 1205 that use the external cord setup. Thanks. I’ve heard this tool mentioned over the years and have never seen a picture that I can remember. A picture is worth a thousand words.

I think the other demo bags that I have were used for the plastic canisters. I think you are correct. The person I purchased these from was a dealer or something similar.

Yeah, it's a button hook for fastening cord straps. Mine has a teal handle. These would have been commonly used by Electrolux salespersons from 1962 when the straps replaced the cord clips until about 1982 - the Silverado Deluxe era.

Electrolux

Button hook-As above it was blue then white for hose cord straps. It was useful again on Discovery uprights with optional Sidekick.
Wall hanger-This was a great but little known option from about the early 80s.Salesmen tend to only sell what is in the big box and ignore optional items.Branch managers would have to order 10 in a carton that would be a charge on the monthly profit statement unless sold. The hose would hang against wall,rug/floor in front,2 wands(connected)at left, crevice tool on right,Power Nozzle hanging in center with fold up hook on upper wand, above floor tool at clip on top of vac.
Demo bag-This was for the classic 'Dig More Dirt' in home demo to show what older vac missed. With clear lid on cloth bag, door open, lock out switch pressed you could show cyclonic suction with bits of paper, etc.
