Hello, I’m hoping someone can help me identify a vacuum I remember having as a kids (mid 90’s).
I remember it having a blue bag with a white slim metal handle extending to an all white power head. I think the head of the vacuum had a rectangular light. I also remember the handle having a rubber piece on to help grip. I also don’t think it had a hose. It was sticky an upright vacuum with no bells or whistles. I would think this was sold in stores around the country but I’m not 100% sure. I know this is probably a long shot but it’s driving me nuts not being able to find it online. I wish I could remember the brand. When searching Google, the Hoover model 90 gives me the same vibes but I can’t find the exact match.

Hi, I'm a bit new to this myself and I don't know a whole lot about vacuum models yet. But I'm doing a little bit of digging on Google and trying to find Hoover vacuums from the mid-90's that might match up to what you're describing.

Is it possible that it could have been from the "Hoover Elite" series? For me, what might help to narrow it down is the headlight you mentioned. I could be wrong, but from what I personally remember, lights on vacuums seemed to be getting phased out by the mid-90's. That was more of an early 1980s thing. I never paid that much attention to vacuums when I was a kid, but I do remember that none of the upright vacuums my parents bought in the late 80's/90's had headlights. So maybe only a few models still had lights at that time? If the vacuum you remember was a Hoover, I did find some "Hoover Elite" vacuums with headlights from the mid-90's time.

I'm sorry, I know that isn't much help! But maybe it might narrow things down a tiny bit? Good luck with your search!

- Chris

Sounds like an early 1970’s (late 1960’s?) Eureka Rugulator upright to me. Eureka had nice big rectangular headlights on those.

I don’t think any vacuum maker was offering metal handles in the 1990’s….unless it was a commercial vacuum like a Sanitaire…but that would have been a polished chrome metal handle.

Here’s a video of a Eureka 2070 that seems to match your description….it’s from the late 1960’s….
