I am looking for a hose for this Whirlpool Canister pictured below. I know the chances are slim to none but if anyone has something, please let me know.

Mike

Bump

Does anyone at least have a picture of what the original looked like?

Whirlpool

I have one upstairs that will be spoken for as soon as I get vac, hose & power nozzle in one place.I think my power nozzle has light. The hose ends are unique but flex hose is same as Sears. And being the same they would crumble into pieces just from age. Will try to get pics when all is found.

Thank you Jimmy! I'm just curious what the ends looked like to see if I can replicate something. I'm planning on using regular 1.25 inch hose and an external cord like Rainbow units did.

Whirlpool

Found vac, power nozzle & empty genuine bag package but hose was not where I thought it might be or 6 feet in both directions. Will search Sunday as it has a new home to go to when hose & wands are found.
Great literature above!

When Whirlpool brought out that lineup, Sears had a literal fit. Many threats and anger was directed to Whirlpool. Whirlpool was making so many things for Sears they didn't want Sears to use a different supplier. Within two years, the Whirlpool line of vacs was gone from vac shops.

Tom, I'm sure you remember that whole big fight, when Whirlpool came out with their own product line Sears went crazy. I was one of the first Whirlpool dealers here on Long Island. We moved hundreds of their machines. Do you remember the first Canister vacuum that Sears contracted with during the turmoil? Let me know if you remember the company that produced the "new" Kenmore canister.

Figured It Out

Took a 1.5 inch hose cuff and some 1.25 inch hose along with 1.5 inch chrome drain pipe.

I drilled a hole to accommodate a Rainbow button lock. I did have to splice the power nozzle pigtail into a fitall cord so it would fit into the canister. This meant I also had to change over the cord on the power head. The second image shows a crude assembly as I didn't take a picture of the finished product. The cord is now the correct length after splicing it and I used some cord straps on the hose to hold it in place like Rainbow units did.
