Well my partner who is kind of a bull in a China shop used our Shark rocket UV330 which is a Costco only model which has the collapsible folding wand and broke the joint on the wand. Haven’t called Shark yet to see if they have it but not happy about this issue as I otherwise like the vacuum for quick and easy effective vacuuming. He wanted to replace the whole vac with something else complaining it’s plastic and I told him anything else will be the same so I can just try to get the part since the rest of it is in very good condition and lightly used and that’s why I like my older Electrolux canisters for the regular big housecleaning…far more durable. Anyway…he said it got stuck under a piece of furniture and that’s how it broke. Looks like he did some sort of twisting action to free it breaking the joint. No doubt more care to carefully free it would have prevented the breakage I’m sure as his temper rises quickly when things don’t go well and he starts forcing things in frustration rather than stopping and carefully investigating resolving the issue which is how I’ve learned to deal with things like this.

Hoping I can get the replacement wand otherwise may have to resort to one that doesn’t fold deleting this particular feature which I like to use when cleaning under the couch and also allows for compact storage.

Mostly just posting to vent!

Jon

I have a few sharks and I might have what you need.

Well-since you bought it at Costco, you may be able to get to return/exchange. Perhaps they still have a similar model?  They have a very liberal return policy that is part of the membership.
