Hey guys, I got a free vacuum with my washing machine and I’m wanting to know more about it, I’ll send the photos of it there I haven’t received Vacuum or The washing machine yet, but the lady who is holding onto it is an absolute gem of a person The only thing I actually know that it is the Vacuum looks like one of them Tri-Star ones but it says “ALMEGA”

I'd bet money that you are right and it is a Tristar vacuum but it got re-badged for Aussies.

I've never seen one, so good find! Hope you grabbed the Lux too

Not a Tristar.

That's a Revelation!

What you have is quite a find, because it's the second of what would become Compact, and dates way back to I think 1948. As for the other one, that's easy, an Electrolux 1205, going back to 1968. I know, because I used to sell them.

is NOT a 1205, those were never sold outside the united states. its a hoover 507, which is also not common. here a reference post from here on vacuumland of the hoover. www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bi...

Be the Same size as a tri-star Vacuum? Just so that way I can make sure that I’ve got all the bags and filters for it, as there is nothing worse than getting a vintage vacuum and then finding out you don’t have a bag for it or the original bag (cloth bag) is one that leaks or has holes

Rare pinnock style machine, And the thing is it’s old enough to have slides on the front and wheels on the back so that said something, although bad news is I’ll have to get A new bag for it cloth and or paper preferably cloth though, and it actually has a US style removable power cord, I’ll have to hunt around for something that will physically fit And it’s also double insulated as well, I’ll grab a photo of the bottom plate and the pre-motor filter And it’s also double insulated as well, I’ll grab a photo of the bottom plate and the pre-motor filter tomorrow morning
