What a great find! The old Chocolate brown Filter Queens are really great vacuums. Very simple and very well built. If you can acquire the power nozzle you’d have a great power team! Make sure to use genuine filter cones

I got one of similar to that from Goodwill a few years ago. Cost me $5 and then I spent another $50 or so refurbishing it. It never worked that great, nor could I get the dog smell out of it. After relegating it to the barn for five or six years, I finally donated it a little over a year ago to the church I was attending at the time for their rummage sale. It has not been missed.

I hope yours turns out better. The price was certainly right.

Curious....

How does one get a $5 coupon at Goodwill?

It works great, both Hi and Low speed

It's missing the crevice tool and the bare floor tool

I don't care about the power nozzle that's what I have uprights for

After I cleaned it, it now smells like black cherry

For every dollar you spend at Goodwill you get 1 point. When you get 100 points they give you a $5 coupon.

"Make sure to use genuine filter cones"

You mean the ones that Steel city says are no longer available?

These filters are identical in every way to the original. Obviously filter queen‘s patents were up many decades ago. I proudly sell and use these filters.

Lollolol spend $100 to save $5 - what a deal (sarcasm)

It's a nice cleaner, I have one too I got on eBay for 99 cents. Mine has different wheels on the caddy though but it's the same caddy.

I never knew they sold new cones for these, I always kept buying NOS packs of bags.

I always make my vacuums just as they left the assembly line.
