Many of us here will remember Dave Olsen who was the Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Club treasurer for many years. Sadly he passed away early this morning. Dave worked for many years in the banking system only to later become ordained as an Episcopal Priest.
I had the opportunity at a convention held in the Milwaukee Wisconsin to attend church with Dave at the campus he attended during seminary. He used to joke that they were similar to catholic but without all the guilt. We also held a convention in Portland Oregon where he resided and got to see some of his many collections, which included not only vacuums but telephones and cars. Last time I saw Dave was at the Spokane convention in 2018. I purchased the Eureka from him that I used at his house in 2011. Dave was a great guy and will be missed. Very generous man!
