Hi!

I just bought a Eureka C2720A, Serial Number 30033808. When was it made? Was it cheaper than a Sanitaire when new?

Sanitaire

Is the commercial version of eureka. I don't think there were many sanitaires around the time this vacuum was released.

Going by the wordmark's roman caps style, it would be from circa 1983 to 1988 when the italic caps wordmark was introduced.

I like the color scheme, and it appears to have been maintained well. Nice score!

Nick,

To the best of my knowledge, you have a 1985 model. There may be a date code stamp somewhere on the bottom of the machine by where the belt and brush roll go (example: 6-8-86).

The way this machine looks, it was also sold as the Sanitaire SC684D.

Can I have a picture of the logo and the lines underneath it on the bag? I'm looking to make a Eureka dual purpose bag and want to iron on that logo.
Thanks.
