Possibly it’s because you’re in France.

Tom, if the logistics of planning the convention is what's leading you to stop doing it yearly, then why not have some of your collector friends in the St Louis area help out if they can with the planning? Surely it couldn't be that difficult if you had help, and I bet they would do it to keep the convention going. It's one event I am sure a LOT of American collectors look forward to.

Really excited about the convention, I'll be arriving later today, really sorry to hear that this will probably be the last one, I've been coming to them since 2016 and they have all been great. Mike |

The convention this year was awesome, it was great seeing everyone again and the cleaning contest was lots of fun, we had three winners this year, and, at least for me, the cleaners that won were not what I expected. Mike |

No. That’s just the way online news media works. It’s no different than newspapers being full of advertisements. |

What was supposed to be a half sheet pan cake turned into a full sheet cake. No matter, it was delicious.

Look what we found. The prototype for the Kirby generation three brush roll. Chicago Mike is ecstatic over it.

I helped Adam out with a beautiful Model G and Charlie Watrous brought him the power nozzle. What an amazing machine. The convention certainly brings things that everybody wants.

Thanks so much for organizing and hosting yet another convention Tom. I had a great time. I wanna say this was my fifth convention of yours that I've been able to attend. It was only proper that I make it to this one since the theme was Power Nozzle Canister Vacuums. So great to reunite with friends and make new.
Friday's lunch at Piscotti's in Rolla, Mo was wonderful. I highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area. I purchased two jars each of their homemade Creamy Italian Dressing and Marinara Sauce. Wonderful! I find it so ironic that I love Hoover power nozzle canisters so much and two Hoovers tied for top place in the cleaning competition. Congrats to Reggie, Adam and Mike as winners in the competition. |

It was a pleasure, as always, hosting this year's Convention. As Charlie Watrous put it, "it was just like the old VCCC conventions".
Interestingly, the winners of the cleaning competition were Reggie with a Hoover Windtunnel (top of the line model), Adam tied with his Quadraflex Spirit, and Mike tied as well with a Drain Vac "Beast" and a Sebo wide power nozzle. Those three tied with only 3 grams left in the rug. The Electrolux model G with PN-1 (and a brand new brush roll) left a lot of dirt. Worst was an early 1970's Kenmore PowerMate. For grins we tested a 1910 Royal straight suction upright and even it did better than the Kenmore. The Air-Way Ultra Kleen and a Tri-Star MSG with the green-bristle brush roller tied with 4 grams left. Eureka power nozzles all left between 5 to 7 grams. The three winners that tied each received $20. We had a raffle for NEW items. Brandon won the brand new in the box Regina cordless, Charlie W. won the Hoover One Power leaf blower, and ChicagoMike won a motor driven brush hand vac. We made barbequed cheeseburgers, turkey as well as regular hot dogs, Bill Kirby's coleslaw, sweet and sour turkey meatballs, baked beans with mollassas and bacon, pasta salad, Mexican street corn, cakes, cookies and all kinds of sweets. We had the most wonderful camera crew. Our director, cinematographer, sound, lighting and production crew were all wonderful. Can't wait to see how the director cuts the movie. I was on camera more than I was off of it. As they say in Hollywood "Sparkle Neely, Sparkle". We gave away a ton of vacuums, and ChicagoMike now has my entire collection of vintage brush rolls and vintage cloth bags. If you need a very old brush roll, brush strips or cloth bag, contact him. Congrats to all the people who went home with something vintage from the 'free' pile. |

This is a short video of the 1954 Electrolux model 30 running. Many people asked to see it during the convention, but I ran out of time.
