Hi all,
I will be going to get a Tristar within the next week. How much you might ask? Well get ready for the price...........$20!!!!!!! I saw it on Craig's and I called the lady and she told me all about and and get this, she is replacing the Tristar with a Dyson! I almosted had to laugh @ her. :P So, I have never touched a Tristar in my life and I was wondering if I could get some info on them.
Thanks!
Clayton

About the bags.......

I usually get that crap on totalvac.com and I was wondering if anyone had tried the EnviroCare vacuum bags. Are they half way decent or just junk? If I would get the EnviroCare there is almost a $10 price difference compared to the TriStar genuine.
Thanks!

bags

I don't notice much difference between the Tristar brand bags and the hesco generic bags just a lot cheaper in price.

I have the EnviroCare filter cones fo rmy Filter Queen and I think they are just as good as the Filter Queen Cones. And at almost 1/2 the price they are very worth while.
I am sure their bags are also of the same quality craftsmanship.

Tri-star machines are great. That is an EXL the first of that body style. They are now selling in parts of the U.S. for no more than 2,999.99. If you get a poor salesman you can get them a lot cheaper. I think the older style of tri-star was better but I like the newer ones to.

NO always use genuine

Im sure we all heard at the convnention if you visited the clinics. Use genuine filter queen cones. They are different. Filter queens are much stronger and thicker but give u longer airflow. Genuine filter queen cones are like 15 dollars for 12 that will last you a year. IF you empty the bin once a month. If you want the motor to last longer use genuine.

Thanks all!!!

The lady said that she and her hubby got it for a wedding present. She got the Dyson and wants this gone. Her loss, my gain!!! She said it has 3 bags, the video, manual, etc...
The way she made it sound, it's like she didn't use it a whole lot. The only thing wrong with it is that the latch on the powerhead is broken(what she said). I think when it comes time to get bags, if I like the genuine TriStar bags, I will get those. If not, I will get the EnviroCare bags.
Thanks again!!!
Stay tooned for pics and vids!!!

UPDATE...

Now please forgive me ahead of time. This past Friday was a HORRIBLE day. I was by my grandparents and we were just leaving for an appointment and the phone rang. It was my ma. She said that the lady with the TriStar called and said that one of her family member's vacuum broke and she gave it to them. She said she was sorry......BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! My ma says"I think she is a lying B**ch!!!" I said, "Ya, I know!!!" I said to my ma that the TriStar lady is full of crap. She told me she was gonna try it before we picked it up because she hadn't used it in awhile. She also told me her hubby wasn't happy when she put it on Craig's for $20. One thing she also told me is that her mother-in-law was coming to her house and that her mother-in-law gave it to them as a wedding present. So, number 1:something was broke on it 2. her mother-in-law found out and spoker her mind or 3. SHE IS JUST A LYIN B*TCH!!! My bad day didn't stop there. My grandma died when I was @ my other grandparents appointment. So things are nuts and please keep me in your prayes.
Thanks!

First, my sympathy to your family for the loss of your grandmother, what a bad piece of news. Second, I think a better TriStar is out there for you and to heck with that lady and her unwanted wedding present.

You're welcome, and there's too much of that crap on Craig'sList and eBay. People within the club are a better bet to deal with.
