This is the vacuum he would have been selling. My 50th Anniversary 1978 Filter Queen. I took it out of the box for the picture. Congrats on the wonderful memories.

Hey Jim:
It's a model 31. The first use of the heat shield on top launched with the 1978 50th Anniversary model. This machine could also be ordered in chrome and chocolate brown, but most distributors did not since that color combination cost more and most people didn't know what a Filter Queen was anyway when they saw it. The brown/chrome model was ordered if the distributor was in a heavy Rainbow area, since the Rainbow had just launched their brown/chrome model the same year. | ||
