I saw this at my friend's thrift store yesterday - the Plaid Tag at NE corner of Ave K (Plano rd) and Park, next to Poor Richards Cafe.

Unit ran great, brush roll in good shape, good belt, everything rather clean for its age, and even the headlight worked.

Uses paper bags and has the dial-a-nap control on it.

This would be a great addition to someone's collection!
Only 9.99; pics below.

Nice Eureka! But I think the bag is a replacement. That style would usually be found on a model with green tones....even the Continental series from 1977.

Actually, the bag is not a replacement. I sold the same one on eBay a few years ago. Another collector gave it to me. Now, I wish I hadn't.

Kloveland,
Nice to know it may be an original machine - it is quite nice up close.
Here's the chance to get it back - just make a day's road trip to Texas, lol!

I will be at the store next week for another drop-off so i can see if it is still there.
In the haul I will be donating a dirty later model Kenmore yellow & grey bagless canister, not sure if anyone is into those..

Still there as of yesterday evening...

Now I......

...would have been interested in the Simplicity Commercial upright next to it. True, it has probably been "through the ringer", and who knows what it vacuumed up, but I would still have looked it over.

fantomfan57,
Here is a thread about that Simplicity - it has been there over a year and a half and is not as bad as it looks.
See post 16 for details and picture.

Hope someone will get it soon.
