This is the birthplace of The Vacuum Cleaner Collector's Club. Preliminary work began in late August of 1979 with me seeing the Historical center, and meeting Stacy Krammes. Second visit was with John Lucia in September, 1982. This was where we got the names of the original members. Then our first out of house, meeting. V.C.C.C. was hosted by hoover in May of 1994. That was a fun weekend.

Stan Kann. He knew him, as did many others. Nobody had the 'copyright' or exclusivity to him. He was zany on Johnny Carson. I remember it all very well. WE saw the great tribute to him at the beautiful Fox Theater. I'll return to St. Louis and will return to that theater, too. Lots of Hoover history. This month, there's a lot of Hoover stuff going on in Ohio. I'm sorry I missed Ann Haines. It's always a treat to see her. She's been so nice to so many. |
