I assume that a Bissell Digipro belt would fit on these.

ordered new replacement belt and it's the wrong one.

well poop. I ordered the belt and it's too short. the old belt that came off the machine is longer. I have attached a picture for reference. the old belt is about 4 1/2" long. any suggestions?

Dang, sorry about that. I just assumed those belts would've worked since the Bissell Digipro was also made by Samsung. My next suggestion would be to visit a vacuum store with your powerhead and try out different kinds of belts they'd have to see which one fits the best. Hope this would also work!

The powerhead in your picture is similar enough to the GE and Filter Queen powerheads that a Filter Queen flat powerhead belt might be just the right size. Give it a try.

However, if your local vac shop tells you those Bissell DigiPro belts do indeed work on that powerhead and get one to fit the powerhead, just be warned that belt is NLA from Bissell/Samsung. I have the Samsung version of the Bissell DigiPro powerhead, and found that a Dirt Devil Style 6 belt, from the dual motor Ultra MVP uprights from the late 90s, is a close enough match and works well on that powerhead.

Keep in mind that your old belt is all stretched out. That's why it needs to be changed. Naturally a new one will be smaller and tighter.

Becky, actually that's not the case here in Canada. These Samsung canister vacuums DID sell very well actually! Mainly in local vac shops, as it was distributed by Hibbert International, one of the Canadian vac shop distributors. You still see them pop up on Kijiji often, and parts are still readily available through Hibbert for them. The Samsung Quiet Jet bagged uprights were also quite popular through the vac shops as well, I think because they looked very much like the Bissell PowerForce bagged uprights and were very comparable in features and functionality to the Panasonic bagged uprights at 1/2 the price.

I just bought one of these today. I can confirm that the filter queen belt will work. Filter queen also is interchangeable with Hoover power drive type 49 belts.

Very briefly

When these first hit the market, I could swear I remembered seeing them available in Canada with either a Sebo ET-C, or a Wessel-Werk EBK-280 variant power nozzle. Can anyone else confirm? I do realize that this was almost 20 years ago.

John, Samsung vacuums were distributed by Hibbert International here in Canada. Our local vac shop carried the Samsung line, this particular machine was called the Quiet Jet. The MOL model came with the Samsung made Digipro style powerhead....early version had metal wands and cord on the outside, later version had the direct connect telescopic wand. The TOL model came with a black 12 inch Lindhaus powerhead, and had metal wands with cord on the outside. If memory serves right, the Lindhaus powerhead also had the Samsung logo on it. So this was definitely not just a canister mated with a powerhead by the distributor, Samsung would have had a agreement with Lindhaus and made this as a package.

I have never seen one for sale in person with the Wessel Werk EBK280, but Petek, a former member from Sarnia, Ontario, did find one and posted it here, so it must have been available just not sold in my area or perhaps not a popular model. As for having the Sebo ET-C powerhead, I have never heard of that before and would think it's highly unlikely due to how expensive they were.

One interesting fact some members here may not have known - the Samsung midline canister just below this was rebadged by Hibbert International under the Electron brand as the "Electron Silver", and came with the Digipro style powerhead. The Electron line was Hibbert's exclusive vac shop line they owned and distributed. There were 3 different models - "Electron Bronze" was the BOL canister made by KingClean, available in straight suction or powerhead model with the Digipro style powerhead, and the TOL canister was a rebadged Fakir S220 canister, available in straight suction, or powerhead models had the Digipro or Lindhaus powerhead.
