Do you think Numatic will ever manufacture in China?

I'm not sure they'd do their main Henry machines, as they're renowned for quality. But (and correct me if I'm wrong here) the Henry Quick is going to be manufactured overseas. If that's true I can see them producing some parts over there too. Thoughts?

Probably

For the same reasons why Miele makes some of their machines in China.

The Henry Quick is basically the design of every stick vac ever made, and parts of it look suspiciously like the early Dyson sticks. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be made in China, as they already have the die mold machines there and just have to make small changes to the tooling.

I just saw this, Henry Company responded to someone asking if the vacuum would be made in the UK.

This is their response. They imply it being made in China will only be temporary. They mention adding on 23,820 sq. m. of space onto their factory building in Chard, so that will most likely be for the injection molding equipment and assembly line for this thing. Perhaps even start producing more models, or increasing their manufacturing speeds as well.

Also something of interesting to note - not sure if this was intentional or not or just a coincidence - there was a man named Henry Quick from Cornwall, he was a famous poet, who died in 1857.

I've heard that Chris Duncan the founder of Numatic, stated that as long as he is alive Numatic's manufacturing is staying in the UK.
