Hi Everyone,

I'm new too this site but possibly 10 years too late haha.

I'm wondering if there are any Hoover UK Fans that are still active on this forum??? Would love to start some new discussions about anything Hoover UK related!

My favourite 'Hoovers' would probably be the Turbopower or Turbopower 2/3/1000 ranges.

Controversially I have a bit of a soft spot for the early made Purepowers... but we'll not talk about that haha!

From one member to another-

Well I am not residing in England however from English descent.

Hope you find a lot of English collectors, that welcome you well and warm hearted and share with you the industry for the sake of the leanage of the Hoover brand.

My experience of the South-African collectors are not at discussion right now but be on the look out for grabbers dishonest stealing and cunning people out there.

For the collectors, please make an English hoover enthusiast, feel welcome in the family of Hoovers.

Regards

Adrian Smith

You'll meet all kinds of people in here.  I';m entirely real "Hoover", 400+ in my collection, but who counts/?

There will be a lot of help w/ history,  servicing machines, etc.

One of my "must haves" is a Hoover Dirtsearcher.

Welcome. and indulge your passion for vacuums.  "Hoovers".

Well you would think after 400 hoovers but who is counting ?.... you would have a Hoover dirtsearcher. I am fortunate enough to have a brand spanking new Hoover dirt searcher dated April 1978 in mauve. When i saw it my heart skipped a beat and I just had to have it. I also received the matching accessories that came with it.

I shall unbox it and post some pics. Even the light is still working, and that famouse sound the Juniors make, is awesome. Makes me get all goosebumps.

I have a few Juniors.

But, the 'Dirtsearcher' has escaped me. Someday, hopefully. My family in Ireland all had Juniors and loved them. Their homes were all a bit smaller than ours, so, it did a great job.
There is nothing like that sound, and performance.

try the "hoovering" group on facebook. many uk members there contribute regularly. you wont find alot of UK content here. this vintage forum here is a ghost town since facebook pretty much replaced this site.

Hi.

I used to be an avid collector but had to give up as I moved to a small park home so have no room. I do have 2 though.

Hi,

I am a Hoover enthusiast from England. I have not been active on the forum recently, due to personal issues, but I am still here and still interested.

Robin.
