Hey guys I’ve got a question, where does one find hoover constellation synthetic bags/cloth bags if they exist, As well as which way does the bag seal go? Does it go like image one or image two? And on a related note I found out that the seal in between the bag and Machine works better when it’s like image one

These take Type J bags, nobody makes a synthetic version that I know of, at least here in the states. The 2006+ Constellations took a completely different Type S bag, which did come in a synthetic HEPA cloth. It’s possible to modify one of those or maybe even something else to fit.

The bag seal facing as in your dirt photo is the correct orientation. It presses against the bag mount for a better seal.

Oh wow, thank you so much

I’ve always thought that the backfilling fits inside the bag like every other normal vacuum so it makes me think they should probably put a rubber membrane around the bag opening to seal it properly, By the way the white premotor filter is actually off a Kirby synthetic bag and wow what a difference, plus it probably has some better filtration as well, and it’s probably the easier filter to clean, because all I do is literally vacuum it

If you wanted to make a HEPA bag for it, you would need to find an original paper bag and then make a template out of a Numatic Henry bag or similar sized bag and both glue and stitch it together. That's the best thing to do when you own a vacuum that takes a rare bag type.

Good news

The bags aren’t all that rare, as ezVacuum actually sells them and multiple different brands of the same bag too, so I picked up two packs of genuine Hoover type J bags, a two pack of belt for my hoover brushvac and A shakeout cloth bag for my Certified pile brush,The certified power brush bag is actually a bag from a royal machine, the aluminium style ones And for everything including shipping to Australia it was a little bit over 125USD

I went to the EZVACUUM website and typed in Hoover J bags. The third listing is for genuine Hoover J bags made with 3M Hepa material. $6.99 for a 4 pack. Interesting that they allow only one per order. I have never seen nor been able to order these before, so I ordered a pack.

And I do have a synthetic bag that would fit the GE swivel top,Have a look for Black & Decker Sadie bags on the website “starbags.com.au” and look for bags that fit the Black and Decker Sadie VX 10, the VX 20, VX 21, As those are basically the same as the Ge Swivel top bag
