I just bought a new Lindhaus Aria Elite with the PB12e powerhead and love it! - but the good A3 bags are not available any longer? - the one that came with the unit has a plastic neck with an auto-close mechanism and "Micropor" printed on the bag. The new OEM Lindhaus has a cheap cardboard neck, no mechanism and no "Micropor" yet it's made in Italy by Lindhaus (2 photos attached). Does anyone know the background here?

I also bought an extra hose due to the stories I've read (50% off) interestingly, it's black and tapered - quite a bit larger in diameter than the silver hose that came with the unit at the canister end. This must help airflow. The handle also pivots 360 degrees compared to the silver's 180 making twists easy to deal with.

Amazing how quiet and powerful it is - upgrading from a Hoover 1756B that uses a 5.7" Amtek Lamb 8 amp motor.

This is news to me, I'll have to contact Lindhaus personally and figure out for myself. It'd be a shame though if they did discontinue them because these older bags self seals up when you take the bag out of the machine. Looks like the newer bags don't have that feature.

They're an overall nice machine good performance, filtration low noise level they just suffer from a few issues like those hoses. I've had....5 arias now one was bought off ebay and promptly returned due to hose issues and other problems they failed to mention. Every one of them has had hose issues though to be fair that's why i scored a deal on 3 of those... with the other two the sellers were unaware of the issue.
Anyways due to their setup it would be a shame if they got rid of the plastic dock, I think, with them having the hose end insert into the bag a more robust material would better withstand the inserting and removal of the hose cuff. I think you were wise to pick up a spare hose especially if you really enjoy the machine. The tapered hose will provide more airflow than the non tapered version.

I also just received a second Ebay Aria Elite (canister only) for only 43.00 shipped to me. I bought it mainly to use as a second unit to use as a parts tester if the new one acts up and I wanted to tear it down to see how it's built. Really surprised at the great build quality, the speed control has a large heatsink on it and the motor is very well built. It has a double wall design where the motor is inside of a case, which is then inside of the main body, together with the ducting of the exhaust (sound plate behind motor) and the "Airbelt" style routing it looks like Lindhaus went to great lengths to build a quiet machine.

The downside of this ebay unit is that it smells like dog even after washing all of the individual parts. I sprayed Lysol on all of the bare parts and will let sit overnight.
