Guys, was this a BAD idea, did I Pay too much Shipped for this, but when I saw it on ebay, I PANICKED, Contacted the Seller's and Bought it, as the 1957 Pink Convertible Model 65 is my all time FAVORITE Vacuum, my Dream Machine if you will, so you know...? :/ I mean, I'm 99% sure it's ALL Original, just as it would have been in 1957, BUT here's the thing that has me UPSET Guys, it's missing it's Headlight Lens, plus has a small Crack in the top of the Hood, so I dunno now...? Also, I think it was supposed to have Aluminum Trim above the Headlight as well, but I'm not sure on that you know????

Anyway, for the LOVE of God, someone PLEASE tell me they have a Headlight Lens for it for me, plus maybe some of that Aluminum Trim you know, as again, this is my Dream Machine and I want it to be PERFECT you know, I mean, I'm sure you all have been there to like me, lol!!!!!!!! :p I'm really not too Worried about the Crack on the Hood, as if I can Fix the Body of a 57 Chevy Bel Air, I'm sure I can Repair this, but I dunno...? :/

Oh Lord someone PLEASE tell me they have a Headlight Lens and Aluminum Trim for me for it, lol, PLEASE for the Love of Cheese, lol!!!!!!!! :p

BTW, here are the Photos of it from the ebay Auction Page, so you Guys can all see what I'm talking about and just Bought, also, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't my Model 65 Convertible, the VERY 1st one made???? I mean, as far as Convertible's go, the 1957 Model 65 was the very 1st one, correct...? ;)

Later!

James C. Gockel

THANKS Guys!!!!!!!! :D

WOW, I'm glad you both think so, cuz I wasn't sure you know and what with the Economy being so BAD right now, plus me being on Disability, I was a little FREAKED out about Buying it you know, especially since the people I Bought it from are sorta new on ebay to, but they are nice and have a TON of Vintage Hoover's to Sell, so I guess I have nothing to Worry about then... ;)

Oh and here are some more Photos of it to-

Thanks Jandolin!!!! :D

That makes me feel so much better about my Purchase you know, as Money is TIGHT, especially since I plan on a Vacation next Month, so you know... ;)

Really, if you think about it, I really only Paid $20 for this Model 65, as I did already have $80 in my Paypal Account from a recent Refund and from what I've been told, there aren't too many 1957 Model 65 Convertible's around, so who knows, this may have been a RARE SUPER Buy for me or something...? ;)

OK, now here is a Photo of the Crack in the Hood-

Jim,
That crack is barely noticable and seems to be in an odd place, usually from what I have seen the hoods crack from the front or back edges of the hood. Congratulations, I was thinking of that vacuum too but I didn't want to be bothered trying to find a no lens. I'm glad that you got it.
