These people just never quit discarding usable things...
Rescued this 90's looking canister vac from their dumpster today. Includes hose and crevice tools. Dumpster was full, but poking around on the surface revealed no other tools.
Bag (type N I think) was full, smells like carpet fresh.
Motor sounds healthy and power consumption is normal.
Suction is extremely good, at least without a bag.
Unit just needs a good cleaning - nothing nasty though; just dust and dirt.
I have two canisters already so this one will get donated to my friend's thrift store in Plano. Would be great for a garage vac.
***IF anyone here locally wants it, it is free if you come get it from east Plano. Otherwise it will be donated April 12.
Unfortunately I can only keep so much...
Also found a Panasonic cordless phone set in the dumpster which was a good find as mine is getting flaky. There were lots of other stuff but I did not have my truck this time. My small car was full. I had bought some vintage Technics loudspeakers at the thrift store up the street already. Kinda stoked about those.
From their $1 "before it hits the dumpster" cart, I got a vintage VHS rewinder and a Tivo recorder with a 500GB hard drive. Not bad for a buck a piece! The hard drive I actually needed for my home videos that have outgrown the drive from the last DVR I bought from there (was an expensive $5)...
Only full price thing I got was a vintage pink jacquard dress for the lady - I know she will love it though.
