Yes, I’m referring to the pan converter. My old church had sanitare and I think there was a set of deluxe tools with it. I see the 60a sets on eBay. The motor has so much air flow I wonder if it’s worth buying a hose. |

Yes. If the converter looks like this then yes. Earlier versions of the kit had metal converter. Which will also work.

Thanks so much. I’m a bit concerned that airflow will not create good hose suction. Those old f & g eurekas did not work so well with tools. I don’t know if I should risk it since I have a good canister. |

I’ve used one of those converters, and the suction is pretty good. I used it around the house to pick up a lot of things I thought it would have issues with. It does bog down if you’re using it to clean up heavy dirt, like spilled kitty litter, but what machine doesn’t? It should be fairly good, but if you’re doing a lot of high-up cleaning, that’s a challenge because the hose usually doesn’t reach up to the ceiling.

If you already have a canister cleaner, it’s not really worth it to add a tool set to your Sanitaire. The air flow through the hose is okay for light dusting and even cleaning upholstery with a little scrubbing action using the upholstery nozzle. But the airflow would never match that of a good canister designed for “hose cleaning”.
