Stephan,
Awesome you decided to buy this! Your 993 was built in December 1989. May I see a close-up of the schematics/parts list (picture 9) that came with this, please (both sides)? I have one for the 992/993, but it's for the series A version with the white pigtail cord set. ~Ben This post was last edited 03/24/2022 at 19:28 |

I tried the best that I could the lighting in my apartment is awful and im using my phone. I also included some schematics for a Royal Prince hand vac that was with the paperwork that came with my 993. I don't know why but the pictures are clear on my computer and my phone but when I upload them they turn to crapola, I can email or send them another way if you like.

Stephan,
This limit is in place to prevent potential spam. It should be respected. Thank you! The date you found on the 880's parts list -- that would further align it with the version of my 880 (it was made in February 1985). ~Ben

Glad I was able to help with the schematics and no problem on the spam protection. I do have a question though are the bags swappable between the 880 and the 993? i want to use the 993 at work because its a bit stronger than the 880 but the 880 has a shake out bag while the 993 has f&g bags the shake out bag is much easier to use daily at work because of the large volumes of dirt we get on our rugs on a daily basis. also can you get a double row brush roller for the 880?

Stephan,
Yes, both the 880 and the 993 use the same type A disposable bags (3-080147-001, 3-088147-001, 3-088747-001). Your 880's original bag would have been part no. 3-088042-201 (zipper bag for disposable paper bags) according to that model's parts list you have. And yes, a double-row brush roll was available for the 880: part no. 2-080221-000, 2-180273-000 or 2-675221-000 (the lattermost with ball bearings). ~Ben |

Hello. This website uses old hardware and because of this, the image gallery on the website compresses the JPEG to save space on the server. When this happens it drops the quality of the image about 60% by compressing the image.
There was a user here that found out how to embed the photos into the actual page outside of the site's image gallery so they do not compress and keep their quality but I don't know how he did it. Maybe using an external photo host and using HTML, I do not know. Also the time limit between posts is 30 seconds - not 30 minutes. I am not sure if they recently changed that or not. Last time I uploaded it was 30 seconds. I pre-type my posts in Notepad ahead of time and then set a timer on my stopwatch for 30 seconds and just copy/paste each post. I do this in the very early morning or very late at night when nobody is online so that I do not hurt another member's post views by scrolling their posts off the page. You have a very nice vacuum and it is in amazing shape. |
