Hi!

I just bought a Eureka model 1945, and I was wondering what you could tell me about the "5.5 High Performance" decal. Was it designed to be removed by the buyer? (If so, how would I go about it If not, how would I go about restoring the stripes?)

Thanks!

Nick

If it looks like this, no it was not made to be removable. It was likely a wasterslide decal and it rubbed off on furniture.

I rebuilt mine as a 2 speed esp upright.
Texbodemer I'll need a picture but I might be able to help.
Enjoy.

It is that decal! I'm glad to know that it's not meant to be removable. The part that came off seemed to be plastic with adhesive (like thicker Scotch tape)

Yeah sounds like a wasterslide decal to me. If you find someone with a high res photo of the label and tweak it in Photoshop to the right scale, bet you can take it to a sign/label printing shop (or if someone on here can do it) and they can make a new one.
