Found this at Goodwill today for $7
Put a new cord on it, cleaned the filter and washed out the bag.
I also found a package of TriStar bags for $2

Great find! Did it have all its tools and hose or was it just the vac?

If I remember right, Tr-Star was what they called it for the models sold at door-to-door sales, and it was called the Compact for normal retail market.

No it was just the vacuum, I have a Compact C-6 so I can use the hose from it.

I don't care about a power nozzle for it since I have upright vacuums of the rugs.

It was Compact then it became TriStar, both names were always sold door to door.
TriStar is now part of Aerus.

What a nice Tri-Star. That was one of the last ones, as the name plate is a sticker. Congratulations.

great machine

Those are excellent cleaners. I bought one at the last vacuum convention last year, it's a beautiful machine. I think it was also sold in vacuum stores and it was called the revelation. That's the last model Tristar made before Aerus bought them and I don't think any of the Aerus tristar models were as good.

Great machine.  I'm jealous of you guys, I don't think I've ever seen a TriStar down here. Not for that kind of money.  I guess they didn't sell as many in my part of the southeast.  They just aren't that common.  I can find Kirby's and Electrolux but never TriStars.

Made up a hose for the DXL. Used the machine end for an electric hose, a nozzle end for a Rainbow and a spare 8 feet of black and silver wire reinforced hose. A little Pliobond and now have a spare hose.
